Who We Are
A Christ-centered community in North Georgia
“…we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10
We are a church that is full of joy because of Jesus. Every one of us is a sinner who has been rescued by grace, and that is good news worth celebrating! Christ lived the life we couldn’t live, died the death we deserved, and rose again so that all who trust in him have new life, a new family, and a lasting hope.
Whoever you are and wherever you’re coming from, you are welcome here. Come and see what God is doing among us. We would love to sit with you, sing with you, and open the Bible together. Each week we gather to hear God’s word, lift our voices in praise, and encourage one another to follow Jesus.
We hold to the great truths of the Protestant Reformation: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.
We are Baptistic, which means we believe the church is made up of people who have been born again through faith in Christ and publicly profess their faith through believers’ baptism by immersion.
You can read more about our doctrinal and confessional beliefs on our beliefs page.

Your First Sunday
What actually happens
Park anywhere and come in
We’re in the Bear Praise Shopping Center. Parking is free, and there’s no special visitor lot to hunt for. Aim to arrive around 9:50 AM if you’d like to settle in.
Someone will say hello
You’ll be greeted at the door. Tell them it’s your first time and they’ll show you around — including where the restrooms are.
Sit wherever you like
No reserved seats, no front-row pressure. The room fills up, so coming a few minutes early makes it easier to find the seat you want — but the back is perfectly acceptable, and many of us sit there too.
We sing, read, pray and preach
Congregational singing, public Scripture reading, prayer, and then roughly 40 minutes of expository preaching through a book of the Bible. We finish around 11:30.
Stay as long as you want
Fellowship and conversation follow the service — people stand around and talk for a good while. Leave right away if you need to, though; nobody will chase you down the parking lot.
Common Questions
The things people usually want to ask
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll see everything from a jacket and tie to jeans on any given Sunday, and nobody keeps score. Come dressed as yourself.
What do you do with my children?
Children of all ages are welcome in the main service. We believe the godly family has the opportunity to glorify God across generations, and we’d rather not divide the family into separate programs on Sunday morning. Children worship alongside their parents, noise and all — it doesn’t bother us.
There is a quiet space for mothers and babies if you need it, and a nursery for babies 0–3. On Wednesday evenings we offer classes for ages 2 and up after the meal.
Will I be asked to stand up or introduce myself?
No. We won’t single you out, make you wear a visitor badge, or ask you to speak. You’re free to observe as long as you like.
Will I be expected to give money?
No. Giving is the joyful privilege of the members of this church, not an entry fee for guests. Please don’t feel any obligation.
How long is the service?
Roughly ninety minutes, 10:00 to about 11:30 AM. The sermon is usually around forty minutes, working verse by verse through a book of the Bible.
What kind of music do you sing?
Congregational singing — the whole church, together. A mix of historic hymns and modern songs chosen for the truth of their words. Scripture alone determines how God is to be worshiped, and our music follows from that conviction.
Is there anything on a weeknight?
Yes. Wednesday evenings are one of the warmest ways to meet people. Doors open at 6:15 PM, we share a meal at 6:30, and classes and the midweek service begin at 7:20. If you are new, please come and eat with us without bringing any food — allow us to serve you.
Can I listen to a sermon first?
Please do. Our archive is on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and you can also watch the service live.
How do I become a member?
Membership begins with a conversation with one of our elders. The application and the process are laid out in full on our Resources page.
